What You Can Expect

A truly memorable experience of Old Florida and the Cow Culture ways.  This will be a historic event as we drive cattle through scenic central Florida cattle country.  We will be on the trail for 6-7 days and will end with a big Trail’s End Celebration Frolic.

Participants will be divided into “Circles”,  each managed by a Circle Boss and assistants.  You will ride with your circle and will have the opportunity for your circle to help the Cow Hunters push the herd on specific days.

Each day we will ride and drive the herd around 10-15 miles, so expect to spend most all day riding – rain or shine.

Your meals will be provided and your gear moved for you to each night’s camp.  Grain, hay, and water will be provided for the horses.  You will be primitive tent camping each night.  Breakfast will be served at 7 am, and supper at 7 pm.  You will be given a lunch bag to take along with you each day.

Plan on being ready to ride out at 8 am if your Circle is riding with the cows, or 8:30 am otherwise.  This time is subject to change though day to day, due to unforeseen circumstances.

Each evening there will be family fun entertainment – Cracker storytellers, cowboy poetry, music, and a favorite, Seminole night, where members from the tribe will come share their culture with us.
