Q. Where is the starting location of the Drive? Can I arrive a day or two in advance?

A. The exact starting trailhead has not been determined yet, but it will be near Kenansville.  Registration will start Saturday, December 3rd, this is the earliest you can arrive.  Check-in time on Saturday is 9 am – 4 pm.  Registrations will continue on Sunday, December 4th from 9 am – noon.  Everyone should be checked in by noon on Sunday, December 4th.

Q. What is required to bring my horse?

A. You must have a current Coggins Certificate with you.  If you are traveling to Florida from out of state you must also show a Veterinary Certificate of Health.

Q.  How much does it cost to participate in the Drive?

A.  The cost per adult is $650, $500 for 12 and under children. This includes your meals, feed and hay for your horse, as well as entertainment.

Q. What is used for restrooms?

A. Port-a-potties will be provided at campsites only. No showers.

Q. Where are my trailer and vehicle during the Drive? how will I get back to them? Is there security where they are parked?

A. Trucks and trailers will be driven by the owner to Trail’s End and then participants shuttled back to starting trailhead. 24-hour Sscurity will be provided at the trail’s end parking site.

Q. Will First Aid be available?

A. EMT personnel are scattered along the route. 2-way radios are provided by Sheriff’s department to Circle Bosses.

Q. If we need to cancel our registration, can we get a refund?

A. The first $200 of your fee is a non-refundable deposit, the balance is due November 1st. If you register online you will see that we are offering a 3rd party “trip insurance” option if you are worried about the “no refunds” policy. If you have already paid your full amount and did not buy trip insurance, you can petition the Committee for a partial refund of your additional amount up until November 1st. After November 1st, NO REFUNDS.

Q. Can special diets (human or horse) be accommodated?

A. Special diets cannot be guaranteed to be accommodated, but the caterer will attempt to provide diverse meals. Horses will only be given 2 choices for feed – Seminole Wellness Perform Safe pelleted feed, or Seminole Show & Sport textured feed. If a special diet is required then it will be part of the 60 pound limit per rider that is transported from camp to camp.   Only coastal hay will be provided.

Q. Can I bring my dog?

A.  Sorry but absolutely no dogs are not allowed.  There will be working cow dogs onsite provided by Cow Hunter Billy Davis.

Q. I want to go but I don’t have a horse! Can I lease one for the event?
